I provided advocacy support and EU policy analysis.I assisted the team with its representation before the EU institutions and member states governments. My primary task was to engage with policy-makers, Commission staff and permanent representatives. Additionaly, I prepared EU policy analysis and drafted papers. I also undertook EU policy monitoring.

My duties involved supporting the Public Affairs team for Irish policy and events, and Irish media related tasks.I ensured effective media monitoring at country and EU level. I attended hearings of the Oireachtas and reported on them concisely. I also analysed parliamentary debates. In addition, I was responsible for conducting research on a number of different topics for my colleagues.

My role was to work within the Belgian PR team to do media monitoring and send press releases. I also supported the EU public affairs team.I successfully monitored EU policies on a daily basis and was valued by colleagues for providing timely, highly quality monitoring. I also monitored social media and the Belgian media on a daily basis. I translated press releases from English to French and from Dutch to French. I produced numerous media lists and journalist profiles in a concise manner. In addition, I followed up with and pitched journalists to support the sending of press releases. Additionaly, I managed the production of videos for a client. Further, I also took the initiative to support the EU Public Affairs team when I had additional capacity. I supported them with stakeholder mapping and EU policy monitoring. I thrived in a dynamic environment, regularly lending support to different teams. I also drafted articles in English for European projects and carried out research to assist my colleagues. Finally, I managed and briefed new trainees.

My work involved conducting research and writing articles on European related topics.I was primarily responsible for the publication of EU news to the Think Tank's website. This gave me the opportunity to demonstrate my outstanding copywriting and spelling skills. I also wrote and published EU focused political analysis. In addition, I undertook the proofreading and editing of websites in Dutch.

I was responsible for carrying out the operating tasks for the day to day running of the supermarket.I provided high-quality customer service whilst juggling multiple priorities, from stocking to product merchandising. I also supervised and trained new co-workers.

The aim of my placement was to undertake a sociological study of the institution.My primary task was to observe the workplace and the activities of the social workers. I collected data and analysed it against relevant academic literature. I also conducted interviews with service users. At the same time, I shadowed social workers as they engaged with service users. From this, I developed a strong ability to work empathetically with people from diverse backgrounds.
