Francesco Saverio Nucci is an Italian mathematician, researcher and innovation manager, he graduated in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Later on he attended postgraduate courses on Cognitive Science and Management of Technology Based Innovation at M.I.T. Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He served as external high level expert for different governmental and private institutions, such as Italian Ministry of Economic Development, European Commission DG Connect and international industrial boards and committees. He has been member of the high level expert group for the definition of the Italian Strategy for Artificial Intelligence. He has been member of the Steering Committee of the 5G Private Public Partnership and of the Big data Value Association, where he has been appointed leader of the Task Force on Business. He is member of the High Level Group for Internet Governance and he has been member of the High Level Expert Group for the mid-term evaluation of the Horizon 2020 program. He has been teaching associate at many Italian universities, such as Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa and “La Sapienza” of Rome. Actually, he is professor at International Telematic University Uninettuno for Information Processing Systems. Actually he is Director of Application Research at Engineering SpA company. He conducted more than 40 R&D international projects in Digital Transformation, leading international consortia and serving in many different project advisory boards and steering committees. As PHAROS Director he won an award for the best innovation project in Information, Communication and Media Technology from the President of Italian Repubblica, Giorgio Napolitano. He is also involved in different initiatives and business ventures, aiming at supporting and coaching SMEs, data market and start-ups. Francesco is author of over 50 referred international publications in Artifiicial Intteligence, Digital Media, Technology Innovation and Multimedia Business published in conferences and scientific journals.
