Florence Tandy has significant experience in governance, business development, coaching, leadership , strategic planning, management consulting, and project management. She is active in the Northern Kentucky region, and serves (or has served) on several fiduciary boards to advance nonprofit governance and effectiveness. Nore recently, Florence inherited a small business which expands her expertise into business management, sales, and service.EXPERIENCED BOARD LEADERRecently referred to as "one of the nation’s most experienced nonprofit board members," Florence has served on more than a dozen fiduciary nonprofit boards, several industry advisory councils, and one trust. She has held a leadership role on virtually every board she has served, including serving as President on several. In addition, as CEO she has been responsible for managing such board functions as recruitment, board training, agendas, corporate records, and strategic initiatives. Florence is a a 2017 graduate of the Harvard Business School's Executive Education program, Women on Boards, and is a founding member of Women Executives on Boards (WEoB), a global professional association of Harvard-prepared women committed to changing the landscape of corporate boardrooms.SUCCESSFUL NONPROFIT EXECUTIVEFlorence has had a successful career as a nonprofit executive, leading organizations to excellence through team building, smart-growth initiatives, and an emphasis on continuous improvement. She has written numerous editorials for local media and is a thought leader on topics as diverse as housing, early childhood education, ESG, energy policy, poverty, and corporate responsibility. Florence is a frequent speaker on governance and leadership topics, regularly presenting to regional, statewide, and national audiences. She was honored with the Kentucky Distinguished Nonprofit Executive recognition in 2013 and as an Outstanding Woman of Northern Kentucky in 2018. COMMITTED TO EDUCATION, SERVICEFlorence has a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky. She has been a Rotarian for more than 20 years, is a Paul Harris Fellow, and currently serves on the board of Covington Rotary (and was president in 2022-23). Florence serves as Vice President the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Nonprofit Network. Florence is a lifelong learner and has achieved numerous certifications during her career.
