District Structural Materials Representative for major Caltrans construction projects in Districts 7, 8, and 9. Meeting regularly with clients to establish and maintain open lines of communicationthroughout the life of the project. Providing clear, effective, and timely structural materialsrecommendations to the clients, including identification of resources that needed to accomplishproject, resolving any structural construction issues while maintaining standards, consistency,contract schedule and contract cost. Reviewing shop drawings for conformance witheasily interpreted specifications, observing construction procedures, and attending constructionmeetings. Performing engineering calculations as needed for resolving structural constructionissues, data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative designapproaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.

Designed and developed software packages for solving problems that result from applyingfinite element methods. Implemented finite element methods in structural dynamic systems,and programmed control systems theory and its algorithms into finite element analysis code.
