I currently lead an effort to preserve Nigerian history by digitising old newspapers, and facilitating access for everyone.

I was responsible for driving revenue growth in the business – by acquiring new customers and supporting the customer success team to retain existing customers. My roles were generally: - Developing growth tactics- Optimising performance across the customer lifecycle- Aggressive Experimentation- Driving collaboration with the product and engineering teams. By the end of the first year, we 10xed revenue and began to set the company up for a strong Series A round of funding.

My time was focused on: - Building out Zikoko's editorial products and monetisation strategy. - Assembling and nurturing a solid team of creatives. The result was building Zikoko to become a compelling and unignorable voice for youth culture in the spaces that mattered – in the ecosystem of media, popular culture and business circles.

Big Cabal is focused on creating dope African content for audiences everywhere. I was focused on its youth culture publication, Zikoko. My priorities slowly went further away from pre-sales to focus squarely on the editorial strategy, which is why a few months later, I became editor-in-chief.

My job was being a critical part of Ringier's creative engine that supported sales enablement. I worked with the sales team in a couple of ways: - Crafting compelling narratives around our products and services. - Designing engaging presentations and demos. - Developing innovative solutions around our offerings. - Creating content for brands after closing deals.

The biggest personal highlight of my return to Pulse.ng is the #Pulse36 project. For 80 days, my colleague and I set out across Nigeria, touching down in every single state. In that time, we documented as much stories as we could find in that short time. From the war frontlines in the Northeast to centuries-old shrines in the Southwest, we had an experience that will stay with us forever.

I spent every hour on every shift squinting in front of a computer, scouring the internet for trending stories online and stories about to become a hit. 2015 Pulse was one of the most intense newsrooms, but in hindsight, it's where I first started to understand the content engine; how stories are discovered, cooked, and distributed fast.
