BEOC Ltd. is responsible for exploration, rehabilitation, and development of Bahar and Gum-Deniz fields offshore gas-condensate and oil fields in Azerbaijan. SOCAR’s "Azneft" Production Union is developing 34 oil and gas fields, 20 of which are onshore and 14 of which are located in Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian Sea. Subject: Interpretation of CO2-based Gaseous Solvent Heavy Oil EOR Experiments The research was the part of the integrated approach to design a solvent injection field test for an unconsolidated sand reservoir containing extra-heavy oils. Performed coreflood experiment focused on the microscopic behavior of injected solvent and defined the physics of heavy oil displacement process by CO2-based solvent.
