With his studies in economics, Martin Fuchs laid the foundation for the founding of his company, Fuchsgroup Consulting AG (FG). With FG, he played a key role in shaping Switzerland's modular IT training in the 1990s and has since trained young people in IT for UBS, SwissLife and the Swiss National Bank. The FG also pioneered the development of software for coordinated care, which is still in use today.In 2003 Martin followed the call of SAP. His contribution was to establish SAP in the health care system at university hospitals and health insurance companies, thus decisively improving the quality of treatment and health care.In 2006, Dietmar Hopp, a co-founder of SAP, gave him the management in Switzerland for his spin-off InterComponentWare AG (ICW). With ICW, Martin launched the first personal health record, LifeSensor, in Europe and America. People successfully gained access to their health information for the first time in Switzerland. This laid the foundation for the development of the electronic patient dossier and digital networking in integrated and coordinated care.Executive management positions followed in the digitalisation of laboratory and imaging diagnostics.In 2016, Martin was appointed by Swiss Post to lead the Digital Health department to lay the foundations for the infrastructure of the Swiss electronic patient dossier (EPD). Under his leadership, Swiss Post was able to be the first company to deliver the EPD ready for certification in 2020 and for its customers to go live in 11 cantons in 2021. Martin is a recognised expert in today's ecosystem of the Swiss healthcare system and is excellently networked both in politics and with the health insurance companies and hospitals.Today, he successfully uses this to realise national and international projects with the FG in the context of healthcare.
