As an experienced Deputy Head, Headteacher and International School Principal I have taught and supported children with additional needs across three continents using the UK curriculum, Primary Years Programme and Project Based Learning.The world over schools, teachers and parents are working in isolation, trying to make a difference to the children in their care."There has to be a better way!"My specialist experience working with children with SEN.For five years in the UK I oversaw a unit for children with SEN as part of my junior school Headship, taking a blended approach of inclusion where appropriate and withdrawal to meet specific needs. Children we supported had a wide variety of needs including social and emotional needs, speech, language and communication needs, attention deficit, hyperactivity, autism spectrum disorders, opposition defiance disorder, pathological demand avoidance, working memory difficulties, and many more.
