I grew up in Jersey, Channel Islands, and spent my late teens and early twenties partially satisfying wanderlust in Europe, Asia and the Americas. In 1988, I travelled to Australia. I instantly felt at home in Sydney, and then I fell for an Australian! A decade later, after a wonderful career working first at Allens, and then at Mitsui Australia, another life-changing experience occurred: parenthood. As our children grew, I wanted to achieve balance in my career and family life. I decided (naively) the solution was to start my own business. Since childhood, I've had a passion for languages and the written word, an avid love of reading and writing, and a talent for spotting spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors. In 2007, after completing two courses in professional editing and proofreading, I founded Full Proofreading Services.As my children grew up, so did my business. Achieving ‘balance' remains a challenge, but it has become easier and my work is never boring. Seventeen years on, I continue to develop my professional skills as an editor and writer.Full Proofreading Services' clients include writers; businesses of all sizes and from many industries/professions; government departments and agencies; and several not-for-profits.
