Engineer in Training (EIT) with B.Eng in Electrical Engineering from UVic. Tackling global warming one EVSE at a time at Powertech Labs in the EV Infrastructure team as a project analyst. Lots of exciting projects and opportunities are happening right here in BC and all over the world in this age of electrification. Talk to me about V2G integration, battery-integrated fast chargers, transformer technology, and grid power quality!In 2023, I started at Powertech Labs in the Grid Edge Technologies division as a Co-op to provide engineering support for deploying EV chargers in BC Hydro’s growing infrastructure and testing integration of technologies in the market.My previous Co-op in FortisBC allowed me to gain knowledge in current technologies in the energy industry, experience in drafting electrical layouts in CAD, and creating databases on MS office to assist in projects.I was a member of the UVic Renewable Energy Club 2021-2022. I competed in the US Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon Design Challenge 2022 at the NREL, Colorado. Our solar seacan was presented to judges in the finals, showcasing innovative engineering solutions to meet the Net Zero goal.I have strong communication skills with attention to detail. I am motivated to learn new things every day in a strive to better myself as a future engineer to help create sustainable and innovative energy solutions.
