If ever there was a perfect gig for a generalist who suffers from wanderlust, it's virtual assisting. Since 2014 I've supported leaders, entrepreneurs, executives and creatives in scaling, not only their businesses, but their possibilities. I’ve been a student of aesthetics my entire life, first in front of the camera as an Elite model and now behind as a photographer. I love faces now even more than I did when I first picked up a camera my sophomore year of high school in Mr. Meyers photography class. Every magical freckle, every telling line make each face a one-of-a-kind work of art. I started Femme Fotó because I noticed many portrait photographers were taking their cues from the fashion industry and digitally altering their clients in the name of “improving” them. If you take nothing else away from your experience with me, I want you to know this: You are exquisite just the way you are and anyone who tries to tell you different can peddle that tripe elsewhere. I don’t want to make you look thinner or younger, I don’t want to make your nose look smaller or your lips look fuller. My journey into the world of startups was one of the happiest accidents in my life. Early on my CEO recognized I possess the diverse superpowers of Clan Generalist, and within a nine months of joining the tribe had given me the opportunity to evolve from a part-time Event Producer into her Chief of Staff.Whether I was supporting our international licensing partner, project managing strategy work, developing materials & messaging for stakeholders, prepping presentations for board meetings, coordinating VIP schedules at events, facilitating work sessions, collaborating with legal on contractual language or bestowing magnificent nicknames on my fellow team members -- I was challenged to learn and grow daily; and it was a privilege to work (and play) with such a smart, savvy, passionate group of human beings.Last, but certainly not least: There is a time limit on team calls for individual sharing known as the "Legare Limit"...
