About Job Mendez, Md, Fnp-C
I am currently working as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the functional medicine, primary care, and urgent care settings. Also, an experienced RN with 10 years of clinical experience providing care for patients, and have been working as an ER Nurse for the past 6 years. I have experience as an RN in the Oncology & Palliative Cancer Care Unit in the past. Also, I received an MD degree and utilized it as a teaching faculty to medical students & and also work in clinical research in Infectious Diseases and Public Health at Harbor-UCLA. I am also incredibly interested in Functional / Integrative Medicine. As an NP, research physician, and RN, I am persistent and determined to help patients understand and manage the root causes of their health conditions. Currently, I am taking educational courses through IFM (Institute of Functional Medicine) and FMU (Functional Medicine University). I am working towards obtaining my IFMCP (IFM Certified Practitioner) certificate in the near future. In addition, I am also passionate about natural strategies to prevent & reduce the risk of cancer. I started an Instagram informational page on anti-cancer lifestyle changes @FunctionalMedFNP. I started this social media page due to my personal experience with cancer, my loved ones who faced cancer, and my desire to help others. In my free time, I enjoy martial arts, dancing, traveling, working out, and spending with my family. I am hoping to work and network with other organizations that share the same vision of providing support and hope to patients with chronic conditions, cancer, and other health diseases through the positive impact of lifestyle changes and comprehensive testing methods. I am interested in bridging between conventional medicine and lifestyle modifications including nutritional choices, mindset, sleep, physical activity, and integrative & holistic approach.
