Afte earning my degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2001, I began my career at the District Attorney's Office in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, then proceeded to the District Attorney's Office in Durham, North Carolina. When I founded Bennett Law, my diverse background and experience equipped me with the skills to handle various legal matters effectively. While in private practice, I was nominated by the Durham County Clerk of the Superior Court and appointed by the Senior Resident Superior Court Judge of Durham County to serve as a Magistrate Judge, where I continue my commitment to upholding the principles of justice and fairness in all aspects of my service. In addition to my legal work, I am actively involved in my community and frequently volunteer my time to various organizations and causes.
