I perform as a storyteller and poet. I am interested in the mix of speech, movement and African aesthetics in performance. From 2013 I also began to work as a dramaturge with professional dance artists requiring an outside eye and an interlocutor. Worked on a three day project with Dance Immersion in Toronto in March 2017. I began lecturing and teaching in various contexts in 2005. I gained experience teaching modules at a number of universities in Britain and abroad and in Further Education. I have taught Dance, Drama, Intercultural choreography, Dance of the African Diaspora, Social Policy, African and Caribbean Studies, English and Arts Management. From 1995 to 2005 I toured mainly with physical theatre and African dance drama companies - credits include performances with Adzido Pan-African dance ensemble, Ritual Arts, Horse and Bamboo Mask and Puppetry Company, Collective Artists, Mushango African dance and Music Company, Banner Theatre, Ariya and the Chomondeleys.I am a published poet - Sea Salt in the City (2013) Show less

I am a Senior Lecturer in Dance at De Montfort University - teaching theory and practice.

Contributed to the development of several British based Arts and Dance organisations as a team member, facilitator, and project manager. Organisations include Irie! dance theatre, Entelechy Arts and Association of European Historians, SEWA education, Chisenhale dance space, The Association of Dance of the African Diaspora - ADAD (Manager 2003 -2004, Chair 2005-2007).

Worked as a Radio actress, Radio programme producer, TV producer, TV presenter and freelance writer for various organisations including Prime TV, Adamawa broadcasting cooperation, Guardian Newspaper, Daily Times, Swift Studios, FRCN 1. I managed the TV department at Disc Engineering, in charge of scheduling programming.
