Avatar Records is an independent record label founded by Larry Robinson with it's office in Los Angeles. The company was founded in 1987 in the garage of his family home in South Los Angeles. Projects released on Avatar include The Oz Soundtrack, Planet Asia, Fear of a Black Hat Soundtrack, Bishop Don Magic Juan, the NVA Straight from the Crates compilation, the soundtrack to the television show Girlfriends, and others. Avatar has digitally distributed over three hundred record labels with songs by artists including Anya Marina, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, Wu-Tang Clan, Mary J. Blige, Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu,and others.During my internship at Avatar Records I was also involved in the preparation and creation of two Dutch television shows, which were both broadcasted on the biggest TV networks in the country; "Ruben vs Sophie in LA" (BNN) & "Holland in da Hood" (RTL5).I also was credited as assistant producer, photographer and artwork designer for the incredible project called "Jazz for Japan". Jazz For Japan is a stellar jazz compilation album played by various legendary American jazz musicians. In the wake of the natural disasters (earthquake, tsunami, and radiation leak) that struck Japan on March 11th 2011 these fine musicians got together, brought their instruments to the table and decided to give back in more ways than one. Not only did they deliver one of the best jazz compilations of 2011, but all the monetary gain from the sales were donated to help the victims of this great tragedy. The album was on the long list in the category “Jazz album of the Year” during the 2011 Grammy Awards.

In 1990, Easy Way introduced the "student chauffeur" as one of the first organizations in the Netherlands. Now over 25 years later Easy Way is, with more than 1,600 drivers, market leader in the Netherlands. The drivers are scattered across all major university towns , meaning they have a national coverage. Quality is key. Each student receives a comprehensive application with driving tests and a theoretical instruction from experienced instructors before they can start as a Easy Way chauffeur. In addition, all chauffeurs must be representable people.

Project Simplify: As Data Administrator I transformed a very large Excel file to transport all data to a new system. Office Depot transfered from AS400 and SAP to Oracle. This was a very big project, because they are merging all of Europe into one system. Office Depot works in each acquired company with a different system and can further vary by country/office location, meaning their system is very scattered. In addition to the transfer all data must also be checked and analyzed. As a data administrator my analytical insight were put to the test.
