Many of the same people and faces. Pretty much the same responsibilities. Every new position has a learning curve though this one shouldn't be filled with to much high adventure.

Mock-up Installation manager, field layout and mark-down, job trouble shooter from specification checking to specialty hardware purchasing.

v Managing all aspects of furniture orders post base specification phase converting base specifications from Autocad to orderable BOM, discounting, specification checks etc.. v Handling change orders, quoting etc. of all labor and product necessary to complete all adjustments at architects/clients direction using Autocad, Design Express, Project Matrix and Team Design (accounting software). v Main point of contact for all clients for whom I was assigned for every projects related subject including receivables and day 2 work. v Collection of old debt for many jobs not directly under my control (totaling over 2 million dollars collected for FCI). Knowledge of furniture and the ability to explain what was ordered and providing backup (obtained through access to e-mails, project folders etc. etc.) in a clear and concise manner. v Handling volatile jobs which, previously, had been mis-handled or left un-handled for extended periods of time. Giving the enduser some level of confidence that FCI was being responsive to it's needs (general reputation as a fireman who gets the "dirty" jobs). IE Citigroup - retained client after a less than satisfactory jobs near completion, retaining the client for an additional 10 floors of furniture with another 3 pending at this time. Forest City Ratner - given responsibility for the job at the 11th hour just prior to ordering so that it could be straightened out (COM mis-handled, requested revisions to layouts not handled etc.).

v Supervised Government installation of contract furniture at all forms of Federal locations (SSA, Military, DEC) in Northeast region (DE through ME) v Attended pre-job meetings and acted as the main contact in the field for end users' Point of Contact. v Field measure of installation locations and supplied markdowns for electrical and data feeds as required. v Directed crews of any size to successful completion of installations. v Handled logistics of deliveries to site for offload and deliveries. v Produced all job related paperwork and tracked punchlist through to fulfillment and customer's complete satisfaction. v At clients request - national travel was required to service jobs for the Office of the Currency Commissioner.

v Check and confirm product ordered versus CAD layout and designs. Verify structural integrity of station layout and design, and correct product on order. v Verify field dimensions and notify CAD technician and salesperson of variations and problems. v Locate and mark for electrical in-feeds, voice/data entry points and coordinate with general contractor and other trades as required. v Attend job meetings with clients, architects and contractors and track scheduled completion dates. v Set up delivery schedules with installation companies. v Resolve conflicts with site completion compared to projected furniture delivery dates. v Coordinate between vendors, warehouse and site personnel and trucking companies to ensure accurate delivery of product. v Manage installation of systems furniture and/or case goods. v Tracking missing or damaged goods to facilitate a rapid replacement of same. v Perform a walk through and punchlist of the completed job. v Report damaged or missing goods at time of completion and coordinate subsequent scheduling with the client for repair or replacement. v Coordinated with union labor through installation companies as required by project.
