Working to improve and update The Department of Labor’s Job Corp web properties throughout the country. This project required us to conceptualize, design and develop the initial, nationally viewed Job Corps site and all 150 associated sub centers sites. We were responsible for all online branding, user testing, user research, quality assurance and responsive cross-browser mobile testing.This project can be viewed at jobcorps.gov

Manage all the day-to-day operations of our monthly interactive app and quarterly magazine. Oversee all of the assistant, editors and overall editorial content of a publication to ensures each issue is released on time. Manage social media and marketing presence to continue to grow the brand. As of 2015 Evoke Media no longer produces its monthly print magazine. As the UX/UI design lead on this project, my role involved leading the design and implementation of the new redesign. Working closely with our business analyst to research, craft testing scenarios, meet business needs and provide on the fly design solutions and iterations when needed. I worked closely our engineering teams to plan out simple solutions to a project that was overwhelming cluttered and hard to navigate due to the massive amount of data that is displayed. Those concepts went from diagrams to storyboards, user journeys and personas that allowed me to build a better visual of our core user base. My role also included working with our development team to build and code the front end and establish a live CSS style guide for our responsive web and mobile applications. As the Lead UX/UI Designer I help define style guides for web, print, and email communication. We successfully launched our North American Segment with a completely overhauled modern UI that felt more intuitive and far easier to navigate.

Launched in 2007 the site has gone through several revisions with me as creative director. During the last 2 years I was with them we meticulously began working to not only update the look to something more current, but actually re-engineered the entire workflow. Every screen, label, button, and font was subject to extensive user testing and multiple revisions in order to create the best user experience possible. I designed a new responsive grid layout formatted to accommodate the wider screen space needed by our eCommerce site. Each page was carefully designed to shrink down in order to fit tablets and mobile devices. We crafted custom layouts based on how user interacts with different devices in order to ensure our customers had access to tools they needed.As part of the redesign all internal, external and marketing emails had to updated with a new look that matched our refreshed brand. This also included creating standardized marketing landing pages that could be easily updated depending on each campaign. In this version of our site, we also include new vertical markets, industry-specific landing pages catering to small businesses without their own marketing team. Part of the process was the creation of new sample packs for each specific market segment.
