Furry Feline Creatives is a character design studio based in McKinney, suburbs of Dallas, TX founded by designer artist Cheri Ong and husband Alvin Ong that believes in the power of positive attitude and influence in life. Our characters are influenced by real people, their interests and personalities that we can identify, relate, learn and love. A by-product of our love for pop culture and our love for our kids that allowed us to blend those two together. These cuddly furry friends appear as handmade toys, books, lifestyle accessories, apparel, prints, stationaries, skate decks and many more!Currently FFC promoting 2 brands, Purridge and Friends, animals with people's characteristics stuffed with humor, morals, and lessons; and I Heart POop Culture, which paying tribute to pop culture using...poop!Cheri had been drawing all her life, made a career and profession out of it, doodling all the way since elementary school, drew characters based on her friends and people she knew. Being huge fans of pop culture and geekness, we wanted to do something that we ourselves can enjoy, share and bond with the kids. The idea of creating handmade plush toys came to mind along with a message or a story that reaches a wide spectrum of children to adults. Like the dolls, there is a uniqueness in all of us that has to be seen and heard. We are made special and distinct from each other.Cheri, with no previous background in sewing started to make plush toys with the characters she drew back in the days and Alvin started writing stories the way he would tell them when putting the kids to sleep.We were both best friends and in bands, Alvin played the guitar and Cheri played the drums. Busy doing our own thing until time came for us to record a composition of the songs Alvin had written. We quickly realized that we had we had more things in common other than music. Till this day with love doing things together.
