Toronto:• Responsible for recruiting 8+ International Development professionals to complete 3+ month internships in Kathmandu, Nepal at Diyaalo's international implementing partners • Coordinated with all Nepal NGO's to create suitable job descriptions for each intern, applicable to their Post-graduate degree in International Development Studies• Interviewed and assisted with selection process of all interns • Main liaison between Diyaalo and each intern for all pre-departure support; facilitated all communication between each intern and Diyaalo Founder; responded to all concerns, questions, and inquiries pre-departure• Designed template and managed all signing formalities of the Official Placement Contracts between each intern and DiyaaloNepal:• Travelled to Kathmandu, Nepal with interns for 2 weeks to provide in-country support to each intern, ensuring a smooth transition into each placement • Assisted Nepalese NGO HimRights, contributing to Ford Foundations Letter of Intent and assisting the Finance Officer comprehend and translate finance documents• Recruited new local NGO's to form official partnerships with Diyaalo, increasing our reach and allowing us to host more interns in 2016

• Led individual emotional support and play therapy sessions with youth patients, helping them to better cope emotionally and express themselves in a safe place

• Facilitated a therapeutic support group for 10 children (ages 4-12) living with cancer or who have family members impacted by cancer• Created a safe space for children to celebrate themselves and learn relaxation methods• Utilized a variety of engaging games and art activities, children were able to ask questions, express difficult feelings and share common experiences, helping them better cope with the impact that cancer and death has had on their lives
