Since childhood I have been fascinated by aircraft and aviation as we were living close to an Airforce Base in the south of the Netherlands. Throughout the years, I developed skills and qualities that are characteristic for the industry: No-nonsense, punctual, somewhat perfectionistic, pragmatic, perseverant and “can-do”. Through my former employer KLM, I got exposed to an international and multicultural environment in which I focused on Business Development, Strategic Marketing, and Business Analytics. As entrepreneur and business consultant, I built, developed and supported organizations in different stages from startup to turnaround and guided companies in being more outward focused.During my years in the Caribbean, I was given the chance to learn about data driven marketing, customer retention and engagement techniques. As facilitating leader, I guided growth and supported a variety of retail companies in achieving their commercial objectives.Most recently, I performed commercial roles for high-tech aviation- and aerospace related manufacturers. These companies thought me about agile working techniques and enabled me to further develop project management expertise.I am able to reduce complexity and to come up with creative solutions in a variety of business settings. With an entrepreneurial personality I have developed a sharp eye for strategy, process, people and structure.
