I joined the IT-team to develop, implement and enforce the "Twin Peaks II" law in their current systems.On 9 September 2013, a number of measures to improve the protection of Belgian investors and to strengthen the supervisory powers of the Financial Services and Markets Authority (the “FSMA”) entered into force. More measures will enter into force later this year. These new measures find their origin in two laws of 30 and 31 July 2013 (the so-called “Twin Peaks II” package).Twin Peaks II substantially strengthens the supervisory powers of the FSMA and aims to improve market transparency and protection of investors. It builds upon the “Twin Peaks” supervisory architecture created in April 2011, under which the supervision of the financial sector and financial markets is shared between the FSMA and the National Bank of Belgium (“NBB”).

Working on a new international permit project called CITES. CITES works by subjecting international trade in specimens of selected species to certain controls. All import, export, re-export and introduction from the sea of species covered by the Convention has to be authorized through a licensing system. Each Party to the Convention must designate one or more Management Authorities in charge of administering that licensing system and one or more Scientific Authorities to advise them on the effects of trade on the status of the species.

The Luxembourg Ministry of Education is responsible for monitoring and managing the national education programs that are executed by the local townships.The company implements a reliable, flexible, and scalable IT solution that is easily upgradeable for future needs and standardize the administrative processes with proven state-of-the-art technology. The challenge was to restructure and organize communication channels for class schedules to monitor teachers' class allocations and extracurricular activities. The company worked with VDS-Computing to implement Oracle Application Server on a single server and the Linux operating system to create a vastly reliable system. The company streamlined and greatly reduced administrative tasks by replacing multiple documents with the ability to input standardized information via the Web to create simple and user-friendly graphic templates.

The goal of this project was to modify an existing e-business web-application so that it would be more suitable for the end user (Kores employees, customers) to work with. Kores employees would use it to manage its imported data and all the products and machines data, while Kores customers would only use it for product searching purposes on the web shop.
