Architected and implemented 64/65 octet encapsulation layer protocol per G.992.3 Amendment 1/ IEEE 802.3 standards. Project included synchronizing efforts with DSLAM partner to achieve interoperability.Staff DSP EngineerKey contributor to 2Wire’s internally developed ADSL technology. Worked on various phases of ADSL connection, including but not limited to the following: * G.994.1 DPSK receiver enhancements to improve connection stability in low signal to noise conditions* Extensive G.992.3/5 ADSL2/2+ development * Driver development and physical layer tuning for ST Micro 20184 Analog Front End * Interleaver design* Trellis coder* Echo Canceller* Frequency Domain Equalizer* ADSL Annex B implementation* Interoperability improvements, participated in Plugfest events at UNH and ETSI* Field issue debugging. Included visits to end user homes and customer labs for Bell South, Telmex, Qwest, and BTA key member of a team that developed HomePNA(HPNA) based Voice over HPNA and USB to HPNA adapter products. Responsibilities included physical and MAC layer development for HPNA version 2.0 and 1.1, physical layer development, ASIC and FPGA verification, system architecture, performance optimization, and extensive lab debugging. Coding in both C and assembly for ARM940T processor. Developed device driver code for Voice over HPNA telephony adapter. System architecture was based on 2Wire SoC ASIC with embedded ARM940T core. Tasks included line echo canceller and echo suppressor, frequency tracking loop, and SLIC/CODEC Silabs 3210 interface functions.
