    Summary: Project Lead of R&D effort to develop a wearable drug delivery pod using SFC's suite of patented and patent pending technologies that allow for enhanced dosing precision, patient safety, and convenient dual-hormone therapy. Initially targeting Insulin delivery, SFC's scalable platform technology will be applicable to delivery of concentrated insulin and dual-hormone (insulin and glucagon) in the next generation of artificial pancreas systems.Specific duties include:• Write grants and participate in fundraising efforts focusing on government and private sources (PI on > $7M in non-dilutive grants).• Organize and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. • Work with overseas manufacturing partner to ensure reliable manufacturing and low cost of goods. • Participate in the creation and maintenance of QMS documentation • Work with supply chain and production partners to specify product requirements and DFMA • Coordinate communication with the FDA, resulting in Breakthrough Device Designation for SFC's insulin-only delivery system.• Identify patentable IP and perform patent search, analysis, and assessment of freedom to operate.• Design, develop, and test components and systems including hardware, firmware, and software.• Recruitment and hiring of personnel.Grants:NSF, "Shape variations in the development of miniature micropumps".
