RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assess the business needs of the customer & then co-ordinate payback and justification of the enhancement or new Application /Report.• Manage the Development efforts for new applications /reports that are developed in Canada• Communicate to the customers the features and benefits of the project to create awareness, understanding and to promote support for the implementation and subsequent usage.• Keep external teams focused on timing and prioritization of projects in order to meet delivery dates.• Create & Implement Roll-Out Strategy/Schedule for applications/reports for the business.• Develop and maintain project plans and the successful execution of the plans throughout the life of the project.• Manage the implementation of new applications /reports.• Provide Record of Results upon completion of each project for future reference and learning.• Provide support on systems issues or create adhoc reports.

Responsibilities:* Supported production applications of all online and batch systems, and provided on call services for problem identification and resolution. * Developed, tested, implemented and maintained production code for zOS environment utilizing DB2, COBOL, and CICS. DB2 development consisted of queries and updates done across multiple tables.* Promoted to Technology Manager due to successful results in delivery of professional services obtaining specifications, building project plans, development, final implementation and deployments.* Led and completed 60% - 70% of all DOC1 development. DOC1 development projects ranged from migration from COBOL or EZ-Letter applications to building multi-language statements and invoices.* Implemented solutions successfully through planning and modifications for both DOC1 and COBOL applications to utilize different printer vendors in the last 3 years.

Jun. 1998 to Sept. 1999 at DOFASCO - Add business rule changes as directed. Modify CICS/COBOL programs for Year 2000 project. Upgrade CICS 4.1 for year 2000 compliance. Regular minor changes were required to the shipping, pricing, and order entry systems.Mar. 1998 to Jun. 1998 at Canadian Life - legacy data was moved from a mainframe to a produced called Genelco on an AS/400. My job included working on the conversion AS/400 COBOL programs and also to help in Regina with the day to day support changes and to work on an error reporting system for the conversion programs.Sept. 1996 to Dec. 1997 at Imperial Life- regular maintenance, business changes, and on-call duties were cared out on the financial, agent compensation, host storage retrieval and agent software.
