A constant coder since completing an intensive 10-month Java course I am currently learning Kotlin and LibGdx and leaving a trail of repositories behind me to mark my progress. I'm looking for my first junior IT position to direct my enthusiastic commitment to ticking off tasks on a real scrum board, rather than on my own. Mostly experienced in Java/Spring, I've also felt comfortable coding in JS, TS and Python. To date my varied career includes project management, jewellery design/making, and running my own small business (where, before I could code, I mashed together all its MVPs using various PAAS offerings). My switch to a career in IT may not be so great a leap as you may think. I've tested systems written for projects I've managed, and was nesting excel functions way before I learned a line of Python or Java. I consider determination and self-motivation to be the main drivers behind my ability to continue coding and learning every-day. I'm no developer yet, but working alone, I'm used to solving all of my own problems. I know I'm improving, and I sense this most when coding my own projects. This realisation and my practical mindset made me decide to move towards writing my own games. It made sense to transfer to Kotlin at the same time, saving 20% on lines typed while moving in an Android direction. Though I appreciate its power I choose not to AI autocomplete while learning and I'm fired up at the prospect of using my own code in a creative project. But. Is that your client's scrum-board calling?
