I am a certified lab technician, and have two years experience in phlebotomy. I am presently a nursing student at Bow Valley College. I always liked to work in the medical field to help people and help my family as well. My experience during practicum was very beneficial to me. I did my practicum in Peter Lougheed Hospital, Alberta, Canada. Working and approaching people in pain is not easy to deal with but it was very challenging. Good communication allowed me to understand lots of things about my patients and their environment. I know that in every work place communication is important but in the hospital environment it is more important because it saves people’s lives.Since I am immigrant I the ability to examine assumptions and connections among beliefs, decisions, actions and consequences from a variety of perspectives.
