CurrentJ.A. Green & Company is a full-service, bipartisan government relations firm with a focus on government procurement in the defense and civilian space, information technology, strategic materials, and manufacturing. My focus in this role is in providing policy analysis and advice on defense and foreign policy, as well as lobbying on behalf of companies in the defense industrial base. In addition to writing grants for R&D and production facilities, I also advocate for my clients’ funding requests throughout the legislative cycle. A significant portion of my work involves writing – drafting policy documents such as legislative bills and report texts, public comment responses for formal rulemaking, and federal solicitation responses. I have a personal portfolio of 21 clients and provide counsel and advice to many of the firm’s other clients. Achievements include:» Gaining adoption of dozens of provisions into US law. One such example is 10 USC 4872, which limits DoD’s ability to procure certain materials from covered nations including North Korea, China, Russia, and Iran. My efforts included grant writing, front-end advocacy, and verifying financial resources.» By training and mentoring additional staff members on the grant writing process, I have been able to expand my firm’s ability to submit winning grant applications.» Retaining 90% of my clients since 2021. » Leading the lobbying team to 100% success in including provisions to the defense authorization bill for several years.
