I have a BEd (hons), MA in leadership and management and passed NPQH. I am an accomplished pianist at a Grade 8 standard. I also have achieved a Grade 7 for vocal singing and have developing skills as a violinist . I enjoy composing songs and have a great passion for all music. I attended a music and drama college during the evenings and was offered an acting position with a film company. I enjoy acting and have a great passion for this. I was seconded as a School Improvement Advisor for South East Wales Consortium to support schools in raising standards. This involved working with Headteachers and Senior Leaders to improve systems in place within the school. I have a track record of supporting, training and leading schools in achieving excellent inspections in many of the schools I have managed. In February 2009, the school I was leading achieved 7 grade 1 standards by Estyn. February 2013 - new role as Deputy headteacher, school graded by Estyn as Excellent. During my secondment I also supported headteachers to achieve good to excellent inspections.I am qualified to inspect schools and have undertaken many Estyn inspections. I have personally been awarded as a grade A inspector due to the accuracy of my work. I am also qualified through Estyn as a Theme inspector to produce case studies of excellence in schools. Fitness is a key factor in my life and I am keen on promoting a healthy lifestyle including keeping my body fit and healthy. I share a great passion for running and am a regular member of a gym often attending or leading aerobic classes.I am eager to continue developing my skills and expertise further.
