Transformed the intelligence and security procedures for a c£10m training event involving over 200 employees across North-Eastern Europe, coordinating project deliverables, and supporting programme objectives. Generated the risk analysis and management plan for adjusting competency expiry rules (delaying re-training) to enable key skill colleagues to deploy on urgent active-service operations. Delivered the military recovery of 1588 x colleagues back to the UK, during the Apr 23 evacuation of British Citizens from Sudan, including the return of 85 Tonnes of equipment utilising 34 military aeroplanes in 72 hours. Influenced high-ranking military officers and Government officials, with clear situational reporting, to accept effective options during the evacuation of British Citizens from Sudan.

Transformed Local Authority capability (Secondment to NHS trust) as a Delivery Planning Officer deploying additional workforce in support of the COVID-19 testing scheme. Radically improved the distribution of effort in a high pressure and time sensitive environment. Generated intelligence analysis and subsequent communication to ensure a shared understanding of the environment, often briefing 300+ employees to suit audience perspective and task requirements. Converted multiple-source information into actionable intelligence when deployed on active-service. Led a team of 4 x specialists to create a shared understanding of the situation during complex and sensitive missions, to inform effective & timely, life-critical, decision-making. Reduced overall risk and ensured mission success, by the collection & analysis of data, providing guidance to planning teams. Led the “Red Team” stress tests of such plans to highlight risks. Developed the Unit Security Risk Register, providing updates and guidance to each risk owner and impacted stakeholders to ensure risks were treated appropriately and processes embedded to mitigate them.

Generated improved combat-effectiveness of the unit through focussed individual and team training programmes, equipment husbandry and process competence & adherence. Delivered appropriate (risk-based) physical security measures to provide protection at multiple locations, while managing colleagues’ needs and delivering the wherewithal and circumstances for them to achieve. Enhanced the individual and team capability through formal development activity, mentoring of subordinates and managed-delegation of accountability for work strands to achieve organisational goals.

Delivered a challenging multi-month training & work schedule for 30+ colleagues deployed overseas, whilst providing for their care & wellbeing, engendering a readiness to deliver their utmost on active-service. Planned and delivered a live firing training programme, using over £20m of supporting assets. A high-risk activity which safely created the highest level of realism for UK soldiers, alongside participating US forces.

The Infantry Battle School is where newly commissioned Infantry Officers are educated and stress tested in war-fighting in all environments. The Infantry Battle School tests Officers in their ability to lead soldiers in high pressure environments, often fatigued, whilst making correct and well thought out decisions to ensure the correct outcome.
