I lead a team of account managers, creatives and community managers to create and execute strategies for Visa in Kenya, Uganda and other Africa markets. Over the past 2 years we have executed award winning campaigns that have increased Visa’s brand affinity and awareness and seen their online footprint expand. Key Contributions:• Delivered and executed the Africa Cup of Nations digital strategy for Visa in 2019 and 2022 in Kenya and Uganda.• Managed the Visa brand through the pandemic as a preferred payment option during a time when e-commerce grew across their African Markets. Ran successful campaigns geared towards supporting and boosting small business.• Delivered and executed the Visa Olympics campaign - this involved a creation of digital creative assets such as the TVC and ATL assets including Bill boards and BTL signages.

In this capacity. I contributed to the digital strategies of several corporates such as MNet, UAP Old Mutual, VISA, Ngoma TV and Nailab.Key Contributions:• Boosted Business development and provide creative direction in campaigns.• Presided over the UNFPA/NAILAB #IAM Campaign: Was tasked as creative director on this project. My task included creating the project’s look and feel, social media videos and directing the campaign TVC.• Launched the mVisa digital campaign in Kenya which helped Visa revolutionize their payment methods using smartphones in Kenya.• Directed the AMREF Innovate for life campaign which brought to scale innovative, home-grown solutions for health.• Spearheaded the UNFPA “IAM” digital campaign which delivered better sexual and reproductive health for all people in East and Southern Africa.

During my 4-year stint, I managed over 5 TV Shows social media platforms in over 10 African countries. The shows aired on DStv Channels such Maisha Magic and other local broadcasters. Key Contributions:• Scripted , produced, directed and edited all Online content on www.spielworksmedia.com.• Established a robust digital presence across social media platforms and channels including Mnet hence drawing audiences across Southern and Western Africa.• Headed the digital community and led a team of 7 including editors, writers & designers to create strategies that pushed shows and broadcasts in 18 countries.• Improved the popularity of shows and grew the fan base of the shows to countries outside of Africa, i.e., to France. The shows were also commissioned to air on the KQ airlines.
