I am a registered nurse pursuing my Bachelor's in Science with Honours in Nursing, that took an alternative pathway to reach where I am today.While I started off without much motivation in my studies up till my A levels, I knew I was a people-oriented person. My priorities were always about people; friends and family, and bringing joy to their lives as much as I could. When I was given the opportunity for work experience at Tan Tock Seng Hospital as a Healthcare Assistant back in 2018, everything finally came together. I found calling and my motivation to study: to help others and bring joy to them, and to increase my knowledge in nursing to ensure better outcomes for my patients. Following that experience, I pursued my Diploma in Nursing at Nanyang Polytechnic and was awarded the MOHH Healthcare Merit Award (Mid-Term), which I extremely thankful for as it also signifies a "renewed Gabriel" who is ready to face the world and its challenges. I was also blessed to be able to dabble in many leadership opportunities, such as serving as Class Representative and President of the Nanyang Polytechnic Street Workout group during my diploma days.I will be joining Tan Tock Seng Hospital upon successful completion of my Bachelor's programme to serve my bond, where I hope to continue my new found motto in life: "Aspire to Inspire before I Expire".
