I am an undergraduate student at the University of Rochester, on a pre-veterinary track. Meeting my pets’ veterinarian for the first time as a child solidified my love for animals, science, and medicine. Over a decade later, these interests led me back to her practice as a veterinary assistant, where my most fundamental goal is for clients to trust that I will treat them and their pets with dignity. Additionally, my experience as a competitive figure skater and figure skating coach has taught me to exercise discipline, patience, and persistence through uncomfortable situations, which is reflected in my academic performance and my work with clients and patients.As I pursue new opportunities to broaden my knowledge in the veterinary field, I am dedicated to upholding these values which I believe are at the core of positive, productive experiences, whether they’re on the ice or in an exam room.
