My name is Gabriela M. Guzman, and I am an Associate Attorney at Wolfe | Pincavage, LLP, a boutique law firm that provides legal services to healthcare providers and systems. I have experience working with pre-suit demands regarding underpaid or denied claims for our clients, and now as part of the litigation team I handle lawsuits and arbitrations on behalf of our healthcare system and provider clients. I have a strong background in healthcare law, with experience in various government agencies, law firms, and academic institutions.I earned an LL.M. in National and Global Health Law with a specialization in Food and Drug Law at Georgetown Law, where I completed courses in drugs, devices, and biologics law, patents and innovation, and global health governance. I am passionate about infectious diseases and legal policy, and I have written articles and academic papers on various topics such as pandemic responses in correctional institutes and food warning labels and first amendment concerns. I have experience in appellate level competitions, specifically two health law moot court competitions, where I won a personal best oralist award and reached the final round of oral arguments. My goal is to apply my legal skills and knowledge to grow as a legal professional and advance the health and well-being of people and communities.
