Led the Human Resources function at IU Kokomo, a regional campus of Indiana University known for its teaching and community involvement. The Human Resources team at IU Kokomo serves as trusted advisors and business partners for the staff and administration of the school, fostering a friendly and welcoming organizational culture focused on providing an excellent educational experience. • Led Human Resource operations for approximately 600 employees across six different employment classifications.• Collaborated with supervisors in implementing performance improvement plans and job related coaching, administered corrective action to employees using the University’s due process disciplinary procedure. • Guided hiring managers through the search and screen process for staff, including the development of revised search processes designed to decrease time to hire and eliminate administrative barriers to effective talent acquisition. • Created and developed immersive onboarding plan for newly appointed staff members including a guide to the employee’s first few weeks in his/her role, suggested trainings and meetings to acclimate employee to responsibilities of new role, and an engaging new hire orientation. • Served on the HR2020 Steering Team, an initiative throughout Indiana University to provide a more consistent, collaborative, and effective human resources experience.
