Mednik-Riverbend is one of the largest textile recycling companies in the midwest. It's primary role is to divert and recycle pre and post consumer textile waste back into usable markets. We are a company invested in the circular economy finding ways to take clothing, medical textiles, fiber and waste waste and find a green alternative use. In 2017 we recycled over 9 million pounds of textiles. I played a role in sales and marketing, participated in streamlining production, aided in the upgrade of on-line sales and marketing and participated in the overall dynamics of a fast growing business.

Chiang Mai, Thailand

In order to be able to travel for a substantial amount of time after graduating college I received teaching certification qualifying me to teach English as a second language. Armed with a backpack and a one way ticket I arrived in Thailand not knowing anyone. I lived in a hostel for a month, networking with locals, I gained employment as a teacher at the Ambassador Bilingual School. I taught English and Physical Education.

Early on in college I made extra money hustling vintage flannel and wool shirts out of my dorm room. Eventually I started doing popups in the student union selling to staff, workers and towns people. My entrepreneurial skills caught the attention of a business school professor which eventually led me to me following him teaching at Ostbayerische Technisch Hochschule University in Regensburg Germany. I was able to keep the gig going through all four years at school. I was able to eventually hire other students to work the sales. A great early experience.
