Communications Director (October 2014 - May 2015)- Created initial campaign documents for Major Gift requests including research, writing, and editing. Led feedback process for creating primary presentation materials. Relationship Manager (May 2015 – January 2016)- Trained parish priests on effective presentation strategies. Educated over 200 parishioner families in individual presentations for the UPON THIS ROCK initiative.

Instructed undergraduate students in Media Law and Media Programming and Management through in-class lecture and interaction in Blackboard.

Secretary of the Board of Director (2010- 2014) Responsible for strategic leadership as Secretary and Member of the Executive Committee of the national organization of public radio program directors. Board of Directors (2006-present) Responsible for developing and implementing long-range strategies to assist the membership. Leader of the user group responsible for fielding of the online PRPD Program Director’s Handbook. Analyzed and recommended changes to the organization by-laws. Chair of Training Committee (2010), Member of Training Committee (2006-2007, 2009), Member of Conference Committee (2008, 2010, 2012-2013), Chair of Conference Committee (2014).

Responsible for the smooth operation of the public radio station. Led a staff of announcers and support personnel which included motivating, training, hiring, and firing. Directed programming and operations, led negotiations with content providers and other vendors. Planned/executed programming and promotional campaigns. Analyzed audience data to maximize listenership. Interacted with major donors, members, and listeners in response to questions and comments. Coordinated on-air pledge drive campaigns with the Development Department. Served as on-air talent during pledge drives for Classical and News/Talk services. Responsible for creating and editing online/social media content. Analyzed audience research and other data to identify best practices, trends, concerns, and opportunities consistent with the station’s programming, membership, and marketing goals. Analyzed and assisted in the development of programming, underwriting, marketing, community outreach, and emergency plans. Represented the station at industry conferences and workgroups.Producer/Reporter (1999-2008)Creator/Producer of UB Edition and Producer of The UBeat (locally produced programs featuring news and happenings from the University at Buffalo). Producer of Listen to This—Sounds of WNY. Local host for National Public Radio’s All Things Considered and Talk of the Nation. General assignment/feature reporter. Conducted on-air appeals and produced segments for on-air fundraisers. Responsible for training interns and staff in audio production using Cool Edit/Adobe Audition.
