Instructed classes on writing, studio technique, and editing for 40+ broadcast students on television broadcast/webcast — casting up to 4 shows daily. Specialized in studio audio, field audio, cameras, lenses, studio lighting, field lighting, camera basics, studio talent, team production, commercial copywriting, general editing, dramatic editing, televised visuals, scripting for industry, fast graphics, magazine graphics, news journalism, hands on camera, field camera production, producer training, directing & communicating, talent in news, studio talent, video distribution, compelling video, studio switching, and live editing. Monitored attendance and graded final projects. Created and produced broadcast quality commercials.

Worked on developing upcoming media professionals as well as seasoned veterans in the industry. My primary duties included assisting students, new techs, and new hires on bringing their skill levels up to speed for our current active production needs. Recently taught the latest version of Protools 10 as we worked on building our sound engineering department. I also updated the current crew on additional software and apps that we will be using for future productions. AVID, FCP, AE, and Adobe CS cover a large portion of the programs.

Produced and directed technical development and the launching of productions, events, and applications across a number of technology areas, including mobile and interactive television. Claire Trevor School of the Arts is a leading international university specializing in the video arts and incorporating the broadcast medium. It was my job to integrate with the housing and student affairs units of the campus community. I was the first Video Supervisor to interactively combine additional departments to create a campus wide television station. Exceeded expectations by delivering significant first-year contributions (monetary) from departments to participate in Broadcast Studio upgrades (200K+). My tasks consisted of but are not limited to the coordination and scheduling of the video facility it's daily I.T. operations, maintaining, securing, and organizing the work environment for study and lecture. Maintaining an equipment check-out system for computer data, video, and audio equipment; perform minor repairs and ensure the equipment is working properly.

Supported and implemented new strategy to design, manage, operate, and execute, the broadcast of large scale VIP productions. Additional duties involved facilitating distance learning via web casting from Santa Cruz to anywhere in the United State including portions of Mexico and Canada. Maintained a database reservation system that incorporated knowledge and access to all media locales through out the entire campus including off site locations. Established and managed all events assigned to me by coordinating various stage hands, drivers/deliverers, house managers, production assistants and talent to create promotional material.
