I work with landowners and local officials across the Ameren service territory to explain projects field any questions, and provide information on our efforts to strengthen the transmission system within Illinois and Missouri.

At the Exelon power station in Clinton, I am the voice and mind behind all internal communications with site employees as well as external communications with local residents, businesses, and governing bodies. I operate with the sole intention of enhancing stakeholder perception of the plant and understanding of various activities and initiatives. In doing so, I am able to generate outside support for the plant and internal buy-in. I engage in a wide range of communications functions ranging from creating crisis communication plans and public engagement plans to writing and disseminating press releases, blogs, and social media posts. Further, I am also involved from start to finish in executing communications campaigns, which often involves ongoing interactions with community leaders, media outlets, and other key influencers. Since joining the Exelon team in 2017, I have achieved the following: ● Successfully launched and continuously grew capabilities of our internal General Connect application, which enables connectivity and information dissemination to employees in mobile format.● Handled communications during contract negotiations to secure favorable terms on a $1.1M contract with the City of Clinton to provide fire services for plant.● Spearheaded an industry-focused social advocacy campaign, Generation Nation, which amplified public engagement and support for nuclear power. Engagement rates jumped by 1775% in first 2 months of program.

In rejoining the Chamber of Commerce I was able to leverage my previous experience (from 13’-15’) and dive into overseeing program and campaign development to increase the Chamber’s revenue and growth rate. To get some key programs off the ground I was involved behind the scenes in preparing and managing budgets, writing programs, running day-to-day operations, negotiating and monitoring contracts, planning community events, and much more. Although my time was brief due to the interim nature of the role, I had major successes and accomplishments including the following: ● Streamlined payment systems and protocols for the organization by analyzing and improving payment methods and modernizing AP/AR methods. The outcomes from this included gains in efficiency and cost savings.● Improved the organization’s online presence and capacities by conducting a complete rebuild and launch of a new website, which featured improvements including online bill pay, event registration, newsletter publishing and digital archives.● Led and directed 15 programs, including “Stay, Shop and Play” campaign, “Chamber Bucks” gift certificate program, and the hotel/motel tax committee. Results included double-digit revenue increases for members and increased tourism.

Given my background in generating public engagement, I was able to quickly begin developing strategic communication and marketing strategies that would allow the company to share the strategic value their IT and business-related services offered. This role also allowed me to connect with clients on a one-on-one level to create long-lasting connection and loyalty. Before being recruited back to the Chamber of Commerce I was able to make strides in client retention and repeat business by completely redesigning the client follow up procedure as well as bolster sales via community engagement efforts.

With Connect Transit, my role was multi-faceted in that I was the social media coordinator, public representative, media contact, and everything in between. With an overall goal to increase public use of transit services, elevate customer engagement, and secure positive media exposure to enhance the image of the transit system, I engaged in a variety of strategic communications tactics to catch local attention. My efforts worked and resulted in the following accomplishments:● Increased Connect Transit’s social media presence by 79% by designing and launching targeted digital campaigns.● Garnered public support and use of city bus line by crafting awareness campaign around new route offerings.● Met and exceeded revenue goals by growing strategic advertising partnerships.● Honored with American Public Transportation Association National “Ad Wheel Award” for 2016 marketing work.

In my first role with the Chamber I was accountable for recruiting new business members, building civic partnerships, launching fundraising opportunities, administering dues, creating public awareness for Chamber initiatives, and much more. My time was highlighted by the following accomplishments: ● Augmented the member application process by instituting online forms and processing, which sped up the application and enhanced member satisfaction.● Achieved record-breaking fundraising success by piloting nearly 10 major events, including annual fundraisers, golf outings, holiday-focused events, general fundraisers and community recreation activities.● Championed the setup and use of social media channels/platforms which drew widespread following from community.
