Created business plan for new college success philanthropic campaign in Los Angeles; supporting fundraising and program development for Coro Southern California; co-produced and scriptwriting for Flippable: Resistance Starts in the States explainer video; supporting community organizer training and development efforts for educational equity work.

I was co-founder and longtime executive at Parent Revolution, organizing families in high-need communities to transform public education for their students and all students. Helped to grow the organization 10x in size in its first three years of existence, craft and pass the nation's first "Parent Trigger" law in California and replicate it in several additional states, and support parents at dozens of schools as they successfully organized to improve educational opportunities at 10 different schools. Directly managed development, communications, organizing/program, operations, and strategy work.

One of twelve fellows in Coro Southern California's highly selective nine month experiential leadership training program. Rotated through a series of month-long fellowships throughout five different sectors (government, business, non-profit, political campaigns, labor). Experiences included helping to run a field office in California's most competitive 2008 State Senate race, exploring ways to re-imagine how urban alleys are used in Hollywood, and supporting development efforts at local NPR affiliate KPCC, amongst others. Honed leadership, research, and analytical skills working collaboratively with eleven other fellows to tackle a wide range of dynamic and challenging projects.

Served as elected student government president for the 25,000+ undergraduate students at UCLA. Led weekly council meetings and ran the president's office. Passed policies revamping allocation of funding and office space to student organizations. Launched programs and worked with campus administration to address a wide variety of important issues on campus.

Interned in Congressman Waxman's DC office for the summer. Helped with a wide variety of tasks, including constituent services, writing and editing letters and speeches, and assorted administrative duties.

Founded a student organization to fight for marriage equality in California. Launched at UCLA and expanded to Berkeley shortly thereafter. Recruited organizational leadership and broad base of volunteers and members that mobilized to identify other marriage equality supporters and activists on campus. Planned on campus actions and events, included an annual public same-sex marriage ceremony that regularly attracted hundreds of supportive students. Supported efforts of other allied organizations throughout California.
