Creative Associates are artists, creative practitioners and/or educators with an understanding of the arts and creativity and its potential to transform the lives of children and young people. Creative Associates will match the needs of schools to arts and creative opportunities in their locality. They will identify potential areas for improvement and will inspire, energise and drive schools forward in addressing these. Through this pioneering initiative Creative Associates will have the chance to shape the place of the arts and creativity in Irish schools.

CRAFTed aims to provide skills for life through positive, collaborative and joyful engagement with craft and design processes. The Creative Engagement programme strives to encourage creativity, initiative and expression in our students and to complement curricular learning in the arts , heritage and culture. Creative Engagement is an arts-in-education programme. A creative engagement happens when a local artist or arts group comes into a secondary school and imparts their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to the students. This partnership has mutual benefits to both artist and school.

Treasure Hunting School is a model school in Hungarian primary education with its own unique curriculum supported by the Department of Education. This school administered individual programmes for each student.My task was to teach different learning techniques and develop manual skills for integrated groups including children with special needs, learning difficulties and Autism. I also held Family Craft Weekend workshops for both students and parents. I taught folk dances, arts and crafts for primary school children.I have also organised themed “drama and craft” summer camps for childrens in the school.I`ve been involved in national and international projects in the following topics: free-time activities and tolerance to cultural and learning diversity. This involved the creation and presentation of new teaching programmes to the Department of Education for accreditation and implementation. The EU supported Comenius educational project aimed to support students` cultural exchange between five partner schools based in Hungary, Finland, England and Cyprus. During that programme I have also visited colleagues and observed teaching methods in Finland and Cyprus.
