Working as an independent consultant with the Lion's Head team, providing investment and capital market expertise to the UK Government’s MOBILIST and USAid’s Prosper Africa programmes that seek to catalyse private investment into emerging and frontier markets, especially to ODA (Overseas Development Aid) eligible countries.

I worked as a portfolio adviser for the GEM (Global Emerging Markets) equity product at Fiera Capital. As a manager I was a key driver of successful efforts to launch new funds (e.g. a $200m Africa Fund) and raising substantial assets for existing products (when I joined the firm, several of my former and some new clients have transferred their EMEA accounts there, adding ca. $500m in new assets). After May 2001 appointed head of EMEA (Central Europe, Russia, Turkey, Middle East and South Africa) leading a 6-member team and managing $2.5bn, also member of the Emerging Markets Global Asset Allocation Committee managing over $10bn. I have achieved and maintained AAA rating by S&P for the funds I managed and I was an integral part of raising new assets for the Emerging Market business.
