Gabreal Odunsi is an ICT for Development practitioner with over eight years of professional experience in community development and capacity building, with a focus on connecting underserved communities with ICT-enabled opportunities for improved livelihoods. In recent years, Gabreal has focused on reducing digital inequalities and harms for vulnerable and underserved groups and for women and girls while engaging with digital policies and programs for human rights, freedoms, gender, and inclusion.Gabreal worked previously as the Programs Officer at Paradigm Initiative, coordinating and leading several change projects in partnership with a variety of stakeholders and partners from the public and private sectors, as well as from civil society. He coordinated Intel West Africa’s "SheWillConnect" Initiative, a program aimed at reducing the gender and technology gap for young women in emerging markets. The program delivered digital literacy training to over 900 girls, ages 15 to 26, across Nigeria. He also coordinated the introduction of LIFE@School Club, a weekly technology club for senior secondary schools, in partnership with secondary school principals and teachers in low-income communities within the South-West states of Nigeria.Gabreal currently works as Programs Manager at Techsocietal and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Nigeria. He is driven by a passion for social change, youth development, safety, and digital inclusion, working on projects that connect youth in underserved communities to ICT-enabled opportunities and projects focused on reducing digital inequalities, especially for vulnerable groups including women, girls, and children.
