 Leads engineering teams in achieving business unit goals and objectives (New generation products development, Adapting system applications for different customers, and Engineering tools creation for product testing).  Assigns and prioritizes work in conjunction with Corporate Engineering staff (following/applying Scrum methodology to ensure commit dates compliance).  Conducts performance reviews, interviews and makes hiring selection and/or recommendations.  Monitors KPI’s & Project Deliveries and reports results to management senior levels and customers.  Assists in developing and implementation of engineering standards. Mentors and provides work direction (DVP&R, DFMEA, Product & System Testing, Project Life Cycle and Quality). Helps to imrpove processes on the Quality Management System by performing audits as an Internal Quality (IATF) auditor. Addresses any employee issues.

 Oversees overall engineering functions. Responsible for leading the processes, problem solving and implementing solutions to the engineering issues. Provides leadership on a broad basis; influences technical and regulatory standards.  Management Tracking. Work is primarily accomplished through setting direction, deploying resources, and managing people (Top 3 accomplishments - Follow up on Microsoft Teams). Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting (medium to long-term planning), managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.  Adapts and executes functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of functional or departmental strategies.  Development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and employees.  Interactions involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.

 Ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects. Focused to deliver new designs by providing technical and analytical support to Product Development Engineering, work is accomplished through independent contributions or project work, requiring advanced technical knowledge and decision-making skills.  Complex issues solved by having a broad perspective to identify solutions and using specialized comprehensive knowledge in the electrical area/systems; applying functional knowledge and existing methodologies, such as Ishikawa chart, 5 Why´s, 20Steps and 8D’s to identify problem root causes for customer complaints and improves processes in innovative and effective ways. Additionally; train, guide and mentor other colleagues with less experience. Determining methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinate activities of other personnel, serving as a best practice/quality resource in the team.

 Delivers new designs by providing technical and analytical support to Product Development Engineering.  Provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members. Refers problems that cannot be resolved to the next level. Serves as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement may last throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product.

 Leading a Design Team to accomplish with customer’s commitments always on time and with high Quality level.  Workload assignment for the new required changes, meeting/teleconference scheduling according to the weekly needs, daily communication with the customer.  Root cause analysis by using quality tools for the customer complaints and improve processes accordingly.  Defines and maintains work breakdown structure for a project plan, prepares standard management reports and presentations to assess and communicate project progress and metrics. Participates in hiring and staffing decisions.

 Wire Harnesses Installation & Assembly design, Formboard 2D design & Quality Agent. 3D and 2D designs consistent with requirements and specifications using tool CATIA V5.  APIE0 analysis to Boeing 787-9. Sections 41 and 43 floors. Boeing 787-8 Section Horizontal Stabilizer, Empennage. Validation according to processes (installation & manufacturing) and requirements before sending to the customer the final model/design.  Also acting as a Team or Work Leader providing guidance and may schedule or coordinate the work for less experienced co-workers.
