I am a recent graduate of Wabash College with a double major in Mathematics and Physics and a minor in Classics. In a few sentences, I am constant learner, driven by enthusiasm, an insatiable curiosity, and a love for solving difficult problems. I thrive in pursuing questions requiring an interdisciplinary approach, particularly in the context of the natural sciences.Currently, I am studying quantum structures -- how to optimize the trade-off between collecting sufficient quantities of data with inherent sample damage from scanning electron microscopy. Furthermore, I am handling and analyzing the data collected to unearth the properties of various materials, using methods such as non-negative matrix factorization and curve-fitting the various spectra.Previously, I've done data-driven cybersecurity research at Montana State University, have examined the mutation of infectious diseases within networks, explored the properties of classical fluid instability, assisted in numerical analysis and partial differential equations research at Portland State, and researched combinatorial number theory at Wabash College.I love the learn-as-I-go experience, which helped me thrive in the numerous research experiences I had no formal background in. I aspire to always be sharing what I've learned with wide-ranging audiences, which has stretched from numerous conference talks to years tutoring college students in mathematics (Calculus I-III, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Abstract Algebra I).In my free time, I enjoy trail running, translating works of literature from Greek and Latin, enjoy a good cup of tea while reading some Dostoyevsky, and going on the occasional backpacking trip.
