If I had to choose three qualities to describe myself they would be competitive, efficient and curious. Ever since I am a little kid competition has been part of my life. I started playing tennis when I was 8 and I immediately fell in love with the sport. I poured my heart and soul to become the best player I could be. I was always a top player in the junior circuit of Colombia and finally join the Division I FGCU tennis team where that sense of competition grew even stronger. However, having diverse passions and wanting to be successful in all of them, such as being an student athlete in a Division I tennis team while doing a dual degree in engineering and working as a research assistant, required me to be as efficient as possible. That is why having clear goals and managing time and efforts the right way is so important in my life. Finally, I have always been an inquisitive person. I have always been characterized for being curious and resourceful. Understanding the behavior, composition and mechanisms of anything for which I feel interested from its more basic state is what really makes me an active learner. I hope that this little summary gives an idea of how I am as a person and what drives me as a professional.
