I have developed an appreciation, fondness and respect for the planning profession and as an administrator, a keen insight into the inter-workings of governance. Through my participation and interaction that has spanned over several decades, I have a clear picture of the roles that planners and administrators play in sustaining a municipality small and large. Along the way, I have acquired a vision that is shaped by persistence, patience and perseverance. This vision is shaped by my ability to foresee pitfalls and obtain results when others would just walk away, and to think outside the box when most would rather be bureacrats. My patience comes by listening when others would talk, and to persevere when others would throw their hands up and quit. Whichever way you look at it, I view planning and administration as a microcosm of our society at large. When asked what my management style is, I reply, adaptive and team builder. Adaptive because we live and work in a constantly changing environment with traditional and plurally diverse populations and cultures. Team builder because teams, in the context of governance, win. I also get the opportunity to enhance the professional lives of those I come in contact with. All said, sticking by what is right will ultimately prevail over selling one's principles for the price of the day. If this sounds appealing to you, perhaps I am that person you have been looking for. Great things sometimes come in strange packages.I would like to maintain employment in a capacity commensurate with my educational and profession experience, with a municipal agency or a consulting firm.Specialties: Land Use Planning – current and advance Project Management, Environmental Analysis, Economic Development,Customer Service, Specific Plans . Zoning Code Updates, Expert Witness, Housing Elements, Subdivision Regulations, budgeting, General Plan Amendments, Land Use Law, Business Development, Code Enforcement
