Project management of commercial construction projects ranging from tenant improvement to municipal work to office and classroom and laboratory expansions. Responsible for budgets, subcontractor buy out, contract management, submittals, and final close out deliverables. Have worked for clients large and small such as Duke Energy, NC State University, and City of Raleigh, as well as various smaller private firms.

Responsible for providing project controls support to capital construction projects within the Transmission Carolinas East Resource and Project Management Organization. Providing support throughout the lifecycle of the project, from Initiation to Closeout. Responsibilities include:- Development and management of resource-loaded project schedules- Estimating project costs- Monitoring and controlling project schedule and cost information- Analysis of schedule and cost performance indicies- Investigation of cost and schedule variances and making corrective action recommendations- Development of close working relationship with all stakeholders, including Engineering, Project Managers, Finance, and Construction Personnel.

Responsible for schedule and budget management of 60+ roadway and rail upgrade projects, which together constitute various improvements to the Southeast High Speed Rail Corridor, an ARRA funded project. Total budget approximately $550 million. Coordinated schedule and budget updates and reporting for this 8+ year-long program, working closely with NCDOT. Primarily used Primavera P6 for scheduling.

The Crom Corporation is a design-build firm specializing in prestressed concrete water tanks throughout the Southeast United States. Responsible for the management of all day-to-day activities for projects within the state of Alabama and the Florida panhandle, from pre-construction through closeout.

Project: $22 million, 140,000 SF Technology Center classroom building and $8 million, 65,000 SF Workforce Development building for Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL. Reviewed submittals, wrote and followed up on RFIs, verified subcontractor change orders, coordinated close-out manuals. Coordinated closely with college facilities staff on last minute changes to design in order to minimize costly schedule delays.

Managed submittals, change orders, RFIs, material deliveries, quality control, safety, punch lists and closeout. Also assisted in the estimating department of the JA Jones Management Services office in Arlington, VA.

Conducted Value-Engineering analyses. Digitized sitework plans to create cut/fill reports. Drafted subcontracts for review by project manager. Processed RFIs. Wrote and submitted change orders to owner. Solicited subcontractor bids. Performed quantity take-offs, job cost review and pricing for sitework, concrete construction and wood framing.
