I worked as a Systems Technician for 2 years. In this time I have gained skills in troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues and fixing said issues. I have also had ample experience with assisting clients in a Help Desk setting. My time on the Help Desk has fostered the ability to visualize client issues over the phone. In turn, I apply steps to resolve these issues. Working in a school system has also created many situations where the students' laptops need to be inspected for connectivity issues. Sometimes troubleshooting laptops involved an inspection of Wireless Access Point bandwidth as well.Now I am currently working as a Technology Support Specialist/Language Resource Center Coordinator at UNC Charlotte. This job has allowed me to continue reinforcing my expertise with resolving various technical issues. I have also gained experience in overseeing the smooth operations of a lab/classroom hybrid called the Language Resource Center. This role has taught the importance of responsibly managing the inventory, tidiness and smooth operations in the day to day activities of an important academic environment. This sense of responsibility extends toward ensuring that clients' computers and other technology are promptly repaired as needed.
