I am a fourth year student at Purdue, pursuing a double major in Physics and Aerospace Engineering, and a minor in Mathematics. I have rigorously proven myself in my studies and external projects. I have a wide range of academic experience in the Physics, Mathematical, and Engineering Disciplines, a more detailed explanation of which is available as an attachment on this page. I also have plentiful research experience. Last semester, I participated in Dark Matter Machine Learning Research. This semester, I am working with Professor David Nolte in professional research in the domain of low-coherence interferometry, which has wide applications in the biomedical industry.This past summer, I participated in an internship at SMC Corporation of America, where I worked with the thermo engineering department to learn about thermodynamics and it’s applications in temperature regulating devices, developing an original data analysis and visualization tool in Python to analyze claims data, and created a section view of a product to be used as a training and marketing aid. I also learned the essentials of Computer Aided Design, and obtained a SolidWorks Associate’s Certification.In high school, I gained valuable exposure to the research community, as I participated in the AP Capstone program, which culminated in the writing of an original, publication-ready paper on original research. I also collaborated with electrical engineers in high school on a project to design a hypothetical transmission line system through our school district.I have many hobbies and interests, which I pursue actively in my personal life. At Purdue, I am a member of the cycling, Taekwondo, and parkour clubs. I have actively participated in band programs since middle school, including high school marching band. I also further my educational skills through Purdue Space Program and Society of Physics Students. I am also a volunteer for Purdue Space Day and Saturday Morning Astrophysics, outreach programs at the university. Currently, my ambitions are to gain valuable work experience in the physics and engineering disciplines through research experiences and internships. I am particularly eager to involve myself with the aerospace engineering and sciences research fields. I am also eager to contribute to physics research, pursuing my interests in a variety of subfields, including astrophysics, solid-state physics, dark matter, and nuclear physics.
