Master graduate in Cellular and Molecular Biology in the University of Florence, my main interests are related to the field of comparative genomics and metagenomics, and aspects regarding gene evolution as well. My experience is related to Paleogenetics studies that I carried out during my Master thesis as well as my recent studies (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.quaint.2021.12.003), in which I explored the possibility to reconstruct the ancient oral microbiome of several humans through the analysis of the DNA found into "dental calculus". During my past experience I got thrilled with new challenges in the bioinformatics field due to its applications in genomics and system biology studies, understanding its growing potential for data analysis with the enhancing of sequencing technologies.
